Gameplay

Fill in empty noun and verb fields in each sentence using your cards. Take care to pick words relevant to the topic to decrease your bust. Avoid irrelevant words that massively increase your bust.
From the shop, modifier cards with multiplicative effects can be purchased. These allow for attaching adjectives and adverbs to your nouns and verbs, multiplying their rewards. These will make or break your game!

This was a lot of fun. I really liked trying to justify the word salad I constructed at the end of each round. It’s a great concept too. Thanks for making and sharing this.

the game balance has some issues. for example, with inflation, korea is relevant but other countries and landmasses aren't, like africa or japan.

even with some of the balance issues this was insanely fun

and i really felt like a politician just merging words together.

on godually is busted

i saw "chicken jockey" was in the shop

great stuff, keep at it

I'm having trouble. I can't get the cards to fill out the blanks in my speech. I've tried several different ways of dragging the card up there, and have reloaded the browser several times, but none of them seem to stick. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? Pls Advise.

The areas to drop cards into are a bit small. Make sure your mouse is hovering over the empty field when dragging a card, like this:

If that doesn't work, you can try going into fullscreen, or try the GitHub Pages build: https://my-koala.github.io/PhilBuster/

If it still doesn't work, it's probably a browser problem (in which case, what browser are you using?).

Fullscreen fixed it for me, thanks!

Btw, this game is awesome. Getting a senator to say "The solution is simple. We need to Eat the Drugs."? Priceless. The art is really good too, and adds a lot to the experience. Thanks for the game!

Very silly, but I'm a little sad that consume wasn't relevant to fast food.

Sorry about that! We budgeted only 30 minutes to properly balance the gameplay (the last 30 minutes), and we missed a lot of words haha. A patch with updated topics and words will be released as soon as judging is done.
